Art in Quarantine: Creativity under Quarantine
This Lockdown Art project was born out of necessity. A necessity to expand, to explore and to experience the objects available to me. To see what could be done, when everything else seemed to become undone.
The pandemic has shown us that there are no confinements to the imagination. It’s all in the activation of it, and it can never be inhibited. Creativity Under Quarantine is about re-imagining our surroundings, finding new ways to play with the resources that are around us.
In a time that so powerfully challenges our freedoms and appears to be so limiting, there are infinite possibilities in the unchained creative imagination.
When we re-imagine our surroundings, we open doors to new thoughts and creative opportunities. Integrating this mindset into our every-day lives can enrich our worlds for the better, and hopefully this project will inspire you to do the same.
The nautical flag alphabet
This Quarantine Art Project takes cues from the nautical flag alphabet and re-imagines them in monochrome.
While the traditional maritime flags are an international code system used for communication from ships, this 26 piece series looks to signal to it’s audience the infinite possibilities in the unchained imagination.
Much like the original flags, these can be used both alone or in combination with each other.
Creativity under Quarantine has one singular core mission - flying the flag for creative liberation.
